Step 1: Open a Blank document in Photoshop.

Step 2 : Select the Paint Bucket Tool from the Tool Bar and fill the blank document with it. Choose a nice color since it will the background for your card.

Fill the blank document with it.

Step 3 : Make a duplicate copy of the Background Layer. we do so, because the Background layer is locked so no changes can be done to it.

Step 4 : Select Add a layer style option from the Layer palette, in the drop down menu select the Pattern Overlay option. We will fill a pattern in our background.

Select a good pattern and then set the Blending Mode to Vivid Light; reduce the opacity of pattern to 40% or any other suitable value.

Step 5 :  Create a new layer by selecting the Create a new layer option from the Layer Palette. Fill this layer with black color.

Step 6 :  Select the Elliptical marquee Tool from the Tool Box.

Draw an ellipse or a circle in your Document.

Step 7 : Select the Feather Option from the Select menu to make the boundary of the circle or ellipse soft.

Set the Feather Radius to any large value.

Now press the Delete key to remove the selection.

Step 8 : Now we will start making the card. To do so, create a new layer and select the Rectangular marquee Tool from the Tool box as shown below.

Select a suitable old looking paper color.

Make a Rectangular Box and fill it with the above selected color.

Step 9 : Now drag a suitable photograph on to your canvas and resize it to fit in your rectangle. The photograph I used is a black and white sketch, but if you bring in a colored picture then desaturate it and change the blending mode in the layer palette to luminosity.

Step 10 : What is a card with out some text, so now we will add some text to the card.

Select the Horizontal Text tool from the Tool box and create some text of your own

Step 11 : Now we will add some depth to our picture. Select the Levels option from the Image Menu.

In a Levels Dialog Box, experiment with the different Input levels to enhance the picture.

Step 12 : Now add some card textures to the card.

Step 13 : Now we will blend the photograph on the card to the color of the card. To do so, select the layer containing the photograph and change the blending options from normal to luminosity.

Step 14 : Now we will add some roughness to the text in our card. Select the Eraser Tool from the Tool Box as shown below.

Select the brush type as shown in the figure below.

Step 15 : Now merge all the layers of the card into one i.e. the card background, the photograph, the card texture and card text. To do this select all the layer right click and select the Merge Layers option

Step 16 : Now we will give our card an old paper appearance by adding some roughness to the edges of the card. To do so, select the Ripple Option from the Filter Menu.

In the Ripple Dialog Box set the Ripple amount to 200% while keeping its size medium.

Step 17 : Now select the card layer and rotate it by selecting the Transform option from the Edit Menu.

Step 18 : Finally we will curl the card a little from one of its edges by select the Warp option under the Transform submenu of the Edit Menu.

Here is my Final Image.

Step 1: Select a suitable photograph and open it in Photoshop.

Step 2: Make a duplicate copy of this layer, this we do because the background layer is locked so we cannot do any changes to it.

Step 3: Go to the Tool Bar and select the Brush Tool as you can see below.

Select the Dune Grass type brush from the brush tool bar, we will choose this type of brush since it looks like hair.

Step 4:  Go to the Tool Bar and select the Eyedropper tool to select the hair color of the person on whose face or body you want to grow hair.

Step 5: Select the Brushes Palette option from the Window Menu.

Step 6: Now in the Brushes Palette go to the Shape Dynamic to do the magic. Check the Flip x and Flip y Jitter check boxes, increase the angle jitter and minimum roundness and decrease the Roundness jitter.

Step 7: Now go to Scattering in the Brush Palette, keep the Scatter to above 220, increase the Count and decrease the Count Jitter.

Step 8: Go to Color Dynamics and increase the Hue and Saturation Jitters.

Step 9: Finally in the Brushes Palette go to other Dynamics and increase the Opacity Jitters to 4%.

Step 10: Finally make a new layer and start growing hair.

Set the brush size to some small value.

The final outcome is shown below.

Step 1:
Create a new document (file new) with following specifications.
Width -> 800px
Height -> 600px
Background Contents -> white

Step 2:
Create a new layer. (layer -> New -> Layers). Select “Rounded Rectangle Tool”.

And set color # d3d3d3 and radius 10px and draw a rounded rectangular shape as shown below.

Step 3:
Now we will apply some layer style to the rounded shape. Go to blending options of the layer and apply following layer styles.

Inner glow
Blend mode: Screen
Opacity: 100%
Noise: 0%
Color: #ffffff

Gradient Overlay
Blend Mode: Normal
Opacity: 100%
Start Color: # 929191
End Color: # f2f2f2
Angle: 90
Scale: 100%

Stroke:
Size: 1px
Position: Outside
Blend Mode: Normal
Color is # 929191

Our shape looks like this now.

Step 4:
Create a new layer. (layer -> New -> Layers). Select Rectangular tool and set color to white. Make a rectangular shape over the rounded shape that we created in step 2 as shown in below image. Also leave equal margin from all side.

Step 5:
Apply following layer style from blending options.

Inner Shadow:
Blend Mode: Multiple
Color: #000000
Angle: 120
Distance: 2 px
Choke: 0 px
Size: 10 px

Gradient Overlay
Blend Mode: Normal
Opacity: 100%
Start Color: # 5b7b15
End Color: # cbec82
Angle: 90
Scale: 100%

Stroke:
Size: 1px
Position: Outside
Blend Mode: Normal
Color is #ffffff

Now, it looks like this:

Step 6:
Now we will add a picture on the frame. Select any picture, but its size should not be greater than middle rectangular shape. Also leave some equal margin from all the sides. Create new layer, copy the picture and paste it.

Step 7:
Select polygonal lasso tool and make a selection like shown below.

Create a new layer. (layer -> New -> Layers). Fill the selection with white color and set opacity to 20%.

Our photo frame looks like this.

Step 8:
Press and hold ctrl key and select all layer except the background layer. Right click on any layer and select “Duplicate layer”. A duplicate of all layers will be created. Drag all duplicate layers to just above background layer.

Now we will change some layer style of duplicate shape that we created in step 4. Please mind, DUPLICATE shape.

We will only change gradient layer style. Rest layer style will be same.

Step 9:
Select all duplicated shape, Go to:
Edit -> Free Transform.

And move the shapes as shown in below image.

Our photo frame is ready. You can make frame size in accordance with your photo.

Step 1: Open a High Quality Photograph in PhotoShop.

Step 2: Now duplicate this Background layer as this layer is blocked so no changes can be done to it.

To duplicate the Layer just right click on the Layer and select the Duplicate Layer option in the drop down menu.

Make the original background layer invisible.

Sep 3: Select the Crop Tool from the Tool Box and crop the unnecessary area from the Background Copy Layer.

Step 4: Now we will expand of the photograph since we want to include the border of the stamp. To do so, select the crop tool again and bring the mouse pointer to any one corner.

Now press Shift + Alt and expand the photograph. We do so to expand the photograph proportionally.

Step 5: Now we will create a new layer, this will be the background for the whole stamp so fill it with any dark color.

Step 6: Select the Paint Bucket Tool from the Tool Box as fill the color in the new Layer.

Step 7: Create another new layer as taught in the previous step. Now select the Rectangle Tool from the Tool Box as shown below and make a rectangle filled with white color behind the photograph. The rectangle should be bigger than the photograph as it forms the base of the border of the stamp.

Step 8: Select the Rectangle Shape Layer and right click on it to select the raterize Layer option as shown below.

Step 9: Now we will give the border to our stamp. For this select the Load Selection option from the Select Menu.

Step 10: Go to the Path Palette as shown below and click on the arrow sign on the top right corner to get a drop down menu, just select the Make Work Path option. This will make the edges of the Rectangle a Work Path.

Step 11: Select the Brush Tool from the Tool Box as shown below.

Step 12: Go to the Brush Palette and do the following shown changes.

Note: these values are for the photograph I have used, you have to experiment with the values to get the desired effect with different pictures.

Step 13: Create a new layer. This layer will be used to cut edges of the stamp.

Step 14: Select the Path Selection Tool from the Tool box as shown below or use the shortcut key A.

Click on the Rectangle to select its path.

Step 14: Right click on the path and select the Stroke Path option.

Change the Tool to brush.

Your photograph should look like this:

Step 15: Keep Layer 2 selected and then select the Load Selection option from the Select Menu.

Now go to the layer on which you had drawn the rectangle (Stamp Border for me) and press delete key twice.

Step 16: Select Layer 2 and delete it by right clicking on it and selecting the Delete Layer option.

Here is your stamp.

Step 17: Finally merge the Background Layer Copy and the Stamp Border Layer by the way shown below.

Step 18: Select the Rotate Transform option from the Edit Menu.

Here is the Final Stamp Image.
