Convert a photograph into a painting

Convert a photograph into a painting done by an artist using Adobe Photoshop.
Step 1: Select a suitable photograph and open it on your Photoshop Canvas.
Step 2: Now make a Duplicate of this Background Layer. This we do because the Background Layer is locked so we cannot do any changes to it.
Step 3: Go to the Image Menu and select Shadow/Highlight under the Adjustment Submenu.
Step 4: Brighten the Photograph completely by setting the shadows Amount to 100%.
Step 5: From Filter Menu, select Find Edges under the Stylize submenu.
Step 6: From Edit Menu select Fade Find edges options to produce the final magic.
Mode should be changed to Luminosity in the dialog box opened and reduce the Opacity till the desired effect is achieved. For this photograph i set the Opacity to 30%.
